Shelley is Counsel at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in their Global LNG business unit, currently providing legal support for the Mozambique LNG Project, a world-scale, integrated LNG megaproject. Prior to Anadarko, Shelley worked at Sasol, serving on the U.S. Megaprojects team as lead lawyer for a suite of engineering, construction, and procurement contracts for the Lake Charles Chemical Project, a world-scale ethane cracker and derivatives complex. Shelley began her legal career at KBR, providing practical legal guidance on numerous international and domestic project transactions from planning to execution.
Experience as a member of both owner and contractor project teams, as well as EPC contract expertise, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of corporate integrity and anti-corruption issues has positioned Shelley as a trusted advisor in the gas and chemicals industry. She is highly regarded by colleagues and counterparties as a business savvy internal counsel, and as a result, in October 2015 Shelley was honored by her peers as a finalist for the Houston Business Journal’s Best Corporate Counsel Awards--Best Handling of a Complex Transaction in connection with her work at Sasol.
A graduate of Southwestern University (B.A) and University of Houston Law Center (J.D.), Shelley was recently appointed as President of the Houston chapter of the Southwestern University Alumni Association. Shelley, along with her husband Robert and two other couples, is also a co-founder of Eureka Heights Brewing Company which opened its doors to Houston in August 2016, has been steadily growing, and was awarded a gold medal at the 2017 Great American Beer Festival for its cream ale.
