Alexandra Moutet has joined UCB in January 2017 as Global Head of Patient Affairs, based in Brussels, providing global leadership in patient engagement all across the medicine lifecycle continuum, including through proactive, thought-leading contributions to patient-focused external coalitions and initiatives. She ensures that patient perspective is addressed in UCB’s strategies and activities so as to offer demonstrable value to patients and promote UCB connectivity with patient community built on core values as mutual trust and respect.

She was before at AbbVie where as director of Patient Engagement and Care for Western Europe and Canada she developed, led and guided patient-focused strategies and programs aimed at improving the patient experience, enhancing patient access to health care and promoting integrated care models.
 
Alexandra previously held roles within French consultancies through which she led strategic support in health and social security reforms for different governments at the international level and designed development plans for French health industry and public health organizations.  She was also Counselor for Social Affairs at the French Embassy in Russia.  Earlier in her career, Alexandra created and led a medical center in Kiev which was dedicated to the follow-up of people evacuated from areas contaminated by the Chernobyl nuclear power plant disaster.  This facility was among the first medical centers in the former Soviet Union to diagnose and cure children of thyroid cancer.
 
Alexandra is a medical doctor with a specialization in pulmonology.  A graduate of Paris University, she has a Master degree in Medical Sciences.
