Sarah is involved in a range of scientific advice projects, which includes attending parallel scientific advice meetings with other Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and regulatory agencies, in addition to participating in business development for scientific advice. Previous to scientific advice, Sarah worked as a health economist for the University of Liverpool, undertaking both research and consultancy based projects. As part of her role, Sarah collaborated with the Royal Liverpool university hospital on clinical trials in a variety of areas including, cardiology, renal failure and haematology, and was an adviser to the Liverpool Cancer Trials Unit (LCTU). Sarah joined NICE in 2014 as a health economist for the Public Health and Social Care guidelines centre, and developed economic analyses alongside the various NICE collaborating centres. Sarah holds a BA in Economics from the University of Liverpool, and an MSc in Health Economics from the University of York.
