Erika has a BS in Biomedical Science, a Major in I/O Psychology, and an MBA with over 20 years of experience in Pharmaceutical leadership positions. Erika’s success is based upon understanding business objectives, stakeholder and marketplace dynamics and her keen insight into project management. Currently Erika is Senior Project Manager Consultant and Director of Volunteer Management for the PMI-SFBAC. Prior to her current role she has managed projects for both emerging and established markets across multiple therapeutic areas, including infection diseases franchise, Hepatitis, HIV and antibiotics, Oncology and Transplant, Arthritis among others. In particular, she has enjoyed success in medical and patient educational programs. Her commitment to healthcare project management has consistently yielded innovative programs developed on behalf of several brands of leading pharmaceutical companies like Merck, Roche, Bayer, Pfizer, Novartis, Astellas, Astra-Zeneca, Takeda, GSK and Celgene. Cross-cultural project management is one of Erika’s professional passions. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, minimal proficient in Portuguese and having lived in three countries her global mindset helps her understand and value diverse audiences. Her passion for managing multicultural-generational teams has been reflected in the development of medical and patient educational programs with circulation in at least 33 countries.
