Hind Ahmed Almutawa is currently focusing on the Energy Productivity & Demand Side management; as a vital part of the whole energy and water system. Before that, Hind joined the Ministry of Energy in Feb 2015. as a Director of Regulation and supervision Department, Hind’s focus was on the Energy (mainly Electricity & water) Policies and Regulations supporting the ministry vision toward 2021 and the energy strategy to 2030 in the sector of Electricity and Clean Energy and Desalinated water. Hind was a team member of the UAE National Energy Strategy launched in 2017. Before joining the ministry, Hind had worked as a Director of Projects Department at Sharjah Electricity & Water Authority with focus on Power transmission & Distribution projects since 2012; preceded by being a Project manager of the Load dispatch Centre SCADA project since 2007. Three years earlier, Hind acted as a Head of Electrical maintenance Section in a power generation plant. Since 2002 until 2004, Hind started her career as an Engineer at Local Maintenance Center (ETISALAT). This Journey had naturally put hind to an exposure, for 15 year, of most of the Energy system including generation, transmission, distribution, Demand side and energy policy and regulations.
As a CIO of innovation, Hind is also in charge of the inception of the Innovation program in the ministry, setting of the strategy of enabling the innovation in the organization and manage the initiatives that would commence as part of the Innovation strategy. Hind currently leads the Innovation team through a paradigm shift toward radical innovations with forward thinking approach.
In 2015, Hind joined the Innovation Diploma; a program which was launched by Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre of Innovation in collaboration with Cambridge University. Hind was a graduate of the second batch of the Leadership Program at TATWEER, 2008.

Hind was honored to be a distinguished employee 2015, Creative Employee 2016, winner of the Award of Distinguished Employee in Sharjah Government, 2006. One of the Formers of Women Engineering Student Society –WESS on Campus 2000.

Hind holds a MSc in Engineering System Management (ESM), from The American University of Sharjah with very High Standing (Magna Claude), BSc in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with High Standing from the same university.
Hind has been actively working with Social organizations like the Sharjah Social Empowerment, and Sharjah City for humanitarian services.
