Dr Abdulaziz Boker is an Associate Professor and Consultant,Department of Anesthesia and ICU and the Director of Clinical Skills and Simulation Center at the College of Medicine, King Abdulaziz University Hospital (KAUH).He was the Chairman of the Saudi Scientific Board of Anesthesia and Intensive Care at SCFHS. During his term as Board chairman, Dr Boker led a major curriculum reform for the national training program in anesthesia and critical care medicine in Saudi Arabia and many other Arab countries. He obtained his medical college degree from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah with honors, he then obtained Royal College of Canada certification in anaesthesia and masters of medical education. Dr Boker has very active involvement in medical education and Health Simulation at local, regional, national, and international levels. Dr Boker was the founding chairman for the Academic Department of Medical Education in 2006, and also founded of the clinical Skills and simulation Center in 2007 at college of medicine, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Given his outstanding record of educational program improvements and reforms, he was the first recipient of the „International Residency Educator of the Year (2014) Award“ from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC). This year Dr. Boker was the first recipient of the “Regional Award for Excellence in Simulation 2016” which was awarded during the 3rd UAE clinical simulation  conference 2016 which was held in collaboration with the 2nd SESAM MENA conference.  For his ongoing contributions in advancing innovative integration of simulation in high stakes health training, assessment and certification.
