Jorge is eHealth Software Product Manager at Merck KGaA acting as bridge between clinical, business, and technical worlds in supporting the design of eHealth software products. He is responsible for the definition of product requirements, taking them from conceptual ideas through to end-to-end system requirements of eHealth software solutions that can be delivered as a service to global healthcare providers and supporting the launch of the eHealth solutions to market. Before joining Merck, Jorge worked with the Life Supporting Technologies group at Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (UPM) where he was been involved in several international R&D eHealth projects for different therapeutic areas. In 2015, he received the IDEA² Madrid Awardee from the Madrid-MIT M+Visión Consortium and a merit prize at the Young Investigator Award 2015 from the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering. Jorge is MBA (2017), PhD on biomedical engineering (2016), M.Sc. degree in Telemedicine and Biomedical engineering (2010) and Telecommunications Engineer (2009) from the UPM . He was visiting researcher at the Motion Analysis Laboratory at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (USA) in 2011, at the Duke-National University of Singapore (Singapore) in 2012 and at the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) in 2015.
