Marit Pless serves as Compliance Officer for the Biosimilars Unit / Bioepis JV with Samsung at Biogen in Zug, Switzerland. Previously, Marit Pless worked as Corporate Compliance Manager at Cardiome International AG, Geneva and as European Legal Counsel, Director in InterMune International AG, Basel, Switzerland with responsibility for ethical compliance (anti-corruption, anti-fraud, EFPIA, FCPA, UK Bribery Act). Formerly Director of Global Ethics & Compliance, in Actavis Sarl, Zug, Switzerland with particular focus on Europe and Middle East & Africa. From 2008 to 2010 Marit Pless served as Senior Legal Counsel for Actavis in Denmark mainly responsible for Western Europe. Prior to joining Actavis, she served as attorney with the law firm Gorrissen Federspiel based in Copenhagen, Denmark and more formerly as attorney apprentice in the department of Compliance & Pharmaceutical Law with Novo Nordisk A/S, Denmark. Marit Pless holds a B.A. in Law (2002) and a Master’s Degree in Law (2004) from the University of Copenhagen. She further received her Danish admission to practice law in July 2008. She has studied English and Spanish at the Copenhagen Business School and worked for several years as an Executive Assistant to top management of R&D in Novo Nordisk A/S, Denmark.
