Martin Roussel was until recently Executive Vice-President, Head of Business Banking for the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank in the United Arab Emirates. In his previous function, Marty was in charge of Small Business Banking for Raiffeisen Bank International AG (CIS, CEE and SEE countries). In his 7 years’ tenure, he contributed to building one of Eastern Europe most successful and recognizable SME franchise. With 20 years of SME Banking experience in North America, Europe and the Middle East, Marty is a french Canadian native from Rouyn-Noranda (Quebec). He began his career with the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC), a crown-owned corporation specializing in SMEs financing and consulting, where he gained expertise in business analysis, credit analysis/structuring, sales & distribution, treasury, strategy and enterprise risk management. As a speaker, Marty had engagements in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Strategic planning, execution capabilities and performance management within the SME world are amongst his topics of interest. Besides holding a B.Sc. in Actuarial Science, Marty graduated from University of Cambridge MBA in May 2013. His alma mater is University Laval and he is a CFA chartholder since 2001.
