Muhammad Ali is highly accomplished, self-motivated engineer with ighly extensive experience in the delivery of mega projects from concept design to successful handover as a design consultant, an engineer in EPC environment and as owner’s engineer. He has intensive technical background in the identification, evaluation and implementation of technologies for HVAC Systems, District Cooling Plants, Distribution Network and Energy Transfer Stations to ensure optimal and state of the art systems development. Muhammad is leading District Cooling design at Marafeq Qatar. His major assignment is the design and coordination of Lusail City district cooling system which is comprising of four interconnected district cooling plants to serve 550,000 TR connected customers, 175 kilometres of pre-insulated district cooling piping network and over 1000 Energy Transfer Stations (ETS). He provides consultative expertise in master planning, capacity analysis and system phase sequencing. Muhammad possesses advanced leadership and management skills to organize and maintain efficient teams to achieve corporate objectives. He mentors and coaches Engineers with regard to proper design and projects development and shares best practices across the organization and wider engineering community through lectures, presentations, technical papers and informal technical posts. He is registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in mechanical engineering with post graduate qualifications of Masters of Engineering (M.E.) in mechanical engineering (specialization: Energy Systems) and Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration. He is a practicing LEED AP (BD+C) since 2009.
