Richard Denton joined Diageo in 1999 and was appointed VP of Innovation and Brand Change for Diageo NA in March 2015. In his current role, Richard leads the supply strategy and delivery the region’s Innovation and Brand Change ambition through supply chain. Richard has delivered impressive results leading and motivating cross-functional business teams to create effective supply chain strategies and deliver winning supply solutions for new product development and pack change activity, packaging development and innovation capability development across international markets and products in North America, the United Kingdom, Global Travel and Middle East (GTME) and Asia Pacific. His first Diageo role was in North America providing packaging and dispense support to the innovation programme. Following a three year assignment he returned to the UK and the Diageo Innovation Central Team where he developed and implemented many of the processes and capabilities that have driven Diageo’s Innovation growth In 2007, as Supply Innovation Manager GTME, Richard established the supply chain infrastructure to support the newly formed Innovation function within the Global Travel markets. This was followed by a move to Asia Pacific in 2008 where he led the expansion of Diageo’s Innovation ambition across six Asia Pacific markets. In 2012, Richard was appointed Head of Technical overseeing all pack change activities in Asia Pacific. Richard joined Diageo with 12 years of experience in the UK packaging and brewing industry. A communication studies graduate from University of Sunderland, Richard is now based in Norwalk, CT.
