Rob Gallo is a seasoned corporate communications director and issues management professional with 15+years combined experience in both consumer and corporate communications. Since 2012, Rob has served as the Head of Corporate Communications for Takeda Pharmaceuticals, overseeing their European & Canadian territories. Rob’s passion for driving interpersonal connections has lead him to develop a wealth of corporate initiatives targeted towards inspiring empathy across colleagues and external audiences. Rob believes that his profession is uniquely placed to earn insights that enable organisations to connect to their audience in a personal and meaningful way. His passion for digital innovation is what inspires him to explore the full potential of tech and design to spur that empathy while also encouraging authenticity, brand trust, and employee engagement across Takeda. Rob has participated as a board level director during several major organisational restructurings, while still managing both internal and external campaigns for global programs. His international experience across countries including the UK, Italy, Australia, and now Switzerland, provides him with invaluable insight into complex stakeholder environments and how they differ from culture to culture. His ability to navigate these differences and enact effective change initiatives is what sets him apart as a communications leader. He holds an Executive MBA from IMD, Switzerland and has in depth understanding of government decision making and the lobbying process. He is also an experienced manager of both functional and virtual teams, with keen understanding of how to align these members towards a common goal.
