Sanjeev Gupta is a recognized authority in operations, supply chain and project management. He has authored many articles for prestigious publications including Harvard Business Review, APICS and Industrial Management. He has also spoken at multiple industry conferences including keynote addresses at Theory of Constraints International Certification Organization (TOCICO) conferences. Mr. Gupta is also a past chairman of TOCICO and a founder of the Goldratt Research Foundation. Currently, Mr. Gupta is the CEO of Realization, a Silicon Valley-based provider of constraints-based supply chain, operations and project management solutions. Under his leadership, Realization has helped more than 300 clients in a range of industries – including aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), engineer-to-order, new product development, construction – collectively realize more than $5 billion in additional cash and profits by using their resources more efficiently. Realization’s clients include organizations from the U.S. military, Boeing and Delta Air Lines to Siemens and NASA. Realization and its clients have been recognized for excellence in operations research, winning the prestigious Franz Edelman Award, the Shingo Gold and the Air Force Chief of Staff Team Excellence Award. Before founding Realization, Mr. Gupta founded Thru-Put, a category- leading supplier of advanced planning and scheduling solutions for complex manufacturers, recognized as one of the top five supply chain management companies. He began his career at Xerox as a management trainee where he helped turn around the company’s electronics manufacturing plant, leading to a $50 million reduction in inventory and a 20 percent increase in throughput. Mr. Gupta has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi; an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; and an M.S. in Management and Public Policy from Carnegie Mellon University.
