Alaina Benford is a partner in the Energy and Infrastructure practice of Norton Rose Fulbright and based in the Houston office. She represents clients engaged in energy, power and infrastructure projects in disputes arising before, during and after construction that involve pipelines, solar facilities, chemical processing facilities and other oil and gas operations, and transportation projects such as toll roads and light rail. Alaina has helped clients resolve construction disputes related to contracts, performance deficiencies, design and supply defects, encroachments, property damage and liens. A graduate of the American Board of Trial Advocates National Trial Academy, Alaina serves as a faculty member of the firm’s Trial Training Program for all first year litigation attorneys in the firm. Alaina also serves on a number of firm committees and previously served as the Hiring Partner responsible for attorney employment in the Houston office. She is a frequent speaker at Continuing Legal Education programs across the country and serves in leadership positions on the boards of several non-profit organizations. Alaina received her J.D. from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2000 where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Thurgood Marshall Law Review.
