Dr. Amat Taap Manshor has over 20 years of experience in human resources management, talent development and education. He has been involved in designing, developing and delivering various HR intervention initiatives, education, and professional training programmes. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer, Finance Accreditation Agency – an international and independent agency that promotes quality learning and future practices of talent development for the financial services industry. Under his current capacity, he is responsible to drive, promote and maintain quality and standards in human capital development in financial services industry by ensuring high quality assurance practices and accreditation of learning programmes and qualifications in accordance with global benchmarked standards and principles. Prior to assuming his current position, Dr Amat was the Senior Director at Asian Institute of Finance where he was responsible for the development of various training programmes and the quality assurance standards and framework for talent development in the financial services industry. Dr. Amat was a former Professor of Management, Dean and HR Consultant at the Business School & Professional Studies, Management & Science University Malaysia, and at the Faculty of Business & Law, Multimedia University. During his tenure at these universities, he was involved in various strategic human resources development initiativees and consultancy for the government and private sectors. Some examples are development of performance management system, succession planning and management, training needs analysis and talent development roadmap, leadership development programme, and compensation and salary policy and system, to name a few. He had also served as Principal Consultant and Human Resources Manager in both local and multinational corporations focusing on human resources development and performance management. Dr. Amat graduated with a bachelor’s degree in urban & regional planning, and subsequently completed his master’s degree in regional planning with specialisation in Industrial Economics from University of Technology Malaysia. He obtained his Ph.D. in Management from Multimedia University Malaysia in 2002. He is also the holder and a member of Certified Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) UK and Accredited Competency Professional (ACP) of Institute of Leadership & Management, UK.
