Anders Nielsen has delivered 50+ Basel and credit risk analytics projects for banks in the Middle East & Europe personally and through his analytics team consisting of 20+ analytics experts. These projects range from PD, LGD & EAD A-IRB modeling & validations to Basel risk parameter estimation and stress testing. Through 15 years of experience in credit risk management he has helped banks achieve both compliance as well as business process benefits through PD, LGD & EAD Basel rating systems. His expertise covers customer acquisition, customer management and collections across retail & MSME banking segments. Anders also has executed implementation & test of Basel analytics in banking IT environments such as mainframe infrastructure and decision engines. He is accountable towards senior client sponsors for delivering the benefits envisaged by the Basel Credit Risk Analytics programmes. Anders is heading the risk analytics practice for Experian in the Middle East & Europe ensuring development of new methodologies in the area of risk, compliance and data governance for banks’ internal and external data sources. This includes credit bureau data & big data such as voice, text and transaction data. Anders has written numerous white papers distributed to clients globally. His technical expertise is grounded in degrees in Mathematics & Economics from Copenhagen University. His first role in banking was Basel model development for SME and large corporates in a leading North European bank. Since then he has supported a diverse range of financial institutions from large, global, full service banks to small, local, monoline finance companies.
