Angus McFadden is a partner in King & Spalding’s Global Transactions Group, stationed in the firm’s Houston office. Mr. McFadden focuses his practice on helping owners and developers with all aspects of their global construction projects, representing clients in a variety of industries on projects ranging in value from US$30 million to more than US$10+ billion. Some recent examples include LNG liquefaction and export terminals, LNG import terminals, petrochemical facilities, power plants, water projects, ports, natural gas pipelines, natural gas storage facilities, and sports stadiums. Mr. McFadden has extensive international experience. He was previously stationed in the firm’s Middle East offices for two years, and he has worked on projects in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Mexico and South America, in addition to his experience in the United States. Mr. McFadden works with owners and developers from the drawing board to the punchlist, and beyond. He assists in determining the best project delivery system; writes and negotiates project agreements, including EPC, EPCM, construction, construction management, engineering, architectural, program management and development agreements; and assists with resolving (or avoiding) construction-related disputes. In 2016, Chambers USA ranked Mr. McFadden for his work in construction law, stating that he “impresses commentators with his ability to ‘find innovative ways of resolving complex contract issues.’” In addition, since 2014, Mr. McFadden has been included in The Best Lawyers in America for construction law, and in 2016, Mr. McFadden was included in Who’s Who Legal: Construction.
