Bob Tinn is Capital Projects Procurement Manager for Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP (CPChem) in Woodlands, Texas. He is responsible for the procurement and contracts operational excellence and strategic initiatives across its global engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) petrochemical projects. In 2012, Bob joined CPChem in Houston and served as the Sr. Project Procurement Manager for the $6B US Gulf Coast (USGC) Petrochemicals Project through 2015. He provided oversight of the EPC contractors’ procurement / contracts services in the United States and Asia. He also managed CPChem’s self-performance of procurement / contracts services including the establishment of key project strategic agreements. From 2006-2012, Bob served as a Project Procurement Manager with ConocoPhillips in Houston, Anchorage Alaska, and Brisbane Australia. He managed the global supply chain services for major, capital projects including the $12B Australia Pacific LNG Project and the $40B A2B Alaska Gas Pipeline Project. He also served as the Steel and Valves Category Manager, managing the corporation’s global spend and supplier relationships. From 2003-2006, Bob served as Project Procurement Manager with Bechtel Oil, Gas, and Chemicals, Inc. (OG&C) in Houston. He managed the procurement strategy for the $10B Brass LNG Plant (Nigeria) and procurement services for the $3B DoD Chemical Demilitarization Project (Pueblo, Colorado). From 2002 – 2003, Bob served as Manager of Procurement and Contracts with Bechtel OG&C in Shanghai, China. He managed the start-up of a procurement and contracts organization, and captured the strategic benefits of goods and services throughout Great China (China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong). From 1998-2002, Bob was General Manager of Global Supply Group, a Bechtel company, in Houston. He provided leadership in the fiscal / operational turn-around and functional excellence of 300 employees providing supplier quality and expediting services across Bechtel’s global business units within North / South America, Europe, and Asia. From 1989-1998, Bob served as President of Elite Quality Services where he provided leadership in the fiscal, legal, business development and operational excellence of third party supplier quality and expediting services across Europe. From 1977-1989, Bob started and progressed his procurement and contracts career working on EPC projects with Fluor Corporation in London, England. Bob attended Decorum College in London, England.
