Christian has spent over twenty years in the field of organisational effectiveness and leadership development. The majority of his career has been with global investment banks where he has been responsible for recruitment, organisational development, leadership and learning, and talent management. Until May 2011 he was the Global Head of Talent Strategy and Performance at Nomura International where he was part of the team integrating the acquired Asian and European Lehman Brothers’ businesses. He started his career as a psychologist with the UK defence ministry specialising in the field of recruitment and assessment. He then worked for the Chase Manhattan Bank as the European Head of Organisational Development and then Merrill Lynch where he held a number of positions including Head of Organisational Development and the Head of Recruitment for EMEA. He has a Master of Science degree from the UK’s University of Nottingham in Occupational Psychology, and he is a Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society (BPS). He has published research in a number of international academic journals and regularly presents at business psychology conferences. Having recently consulted to a number of organistions both within Financial Services and in the Oil & Gas Drilling and Diversified Minerals sectors, Christian is currently Group Head of Talent and Learning at Standard Chartered Bank
