Joined LV= in 2014 as Head of ALM responsible for managing the interaction of the assets and liabilities on the balance sheet. As a qualified actuary, specialising in ALM, Emily provides a strong link between the Investment Group and the Actuarial and Risk teams. Since joining LV=, Emily has led a number of important Solvency II related projects including LV=’s applications to the PRA to use the VA and the MA. Emily joined LV= from RBS where she was head of the award winning UK Insurance ALM team. At RBS she spent 8 years in a client facing role advising a wide range of insurance companies on ALM, with a particular focus on the transition to the Solvency II regime. There she worked with a wide range of insurers including FTSE 100 clients to develop and execute derivative solutions to manage ALM exposures. Prior to this, started her career as an actuarial consultant at Tillinghast, Towers Watson. Emily is a qualified actuary and was awarded a number of prizes including the Sir Joseph Burn Prize for special merit on qualification. Emily has a 1st in Mathematics from Christ Church, Oxford. Emily has a 1 year old son and enjoys many outdoor activities including horse riding, running, cycling, rock climbing and skiing.
