Glenn Faass practices principally in the area of anti-corruption law in the energy and mining industries, but also focuses on M&A. He has primarily represented mining and energy clients in the former Soviet Union and in Latin America since 1992. Glenn was a resident in Moscow, and head of the Russian practice from 1992-1997. In 1997 he moved to Venezuela to found the Caracas office, and in 2010 he moved to Bogotá where he served as managing partner until February 2014. Glenn also co-founded the practice in Kazakhstan (1995), which is also now a part of our global practice and our Brazil practice (in 2014), in which he is co-head. In Brazil, Glenn has headed investigations arising from whistle-blower allegations, media coverage and M&A due diligence, and has also assisted Brazilian companies in establishing their compliance programs, since becoming Brazil’s first registered foreign lawyer in 2001. He is a resident of Rio de Janeiro, and a member of the Alberta (Canada) and English bars.
