Greg Kanteres is an Engineering Fellow and Major Project Manager for Worldwide Engineering & Construction at Eastman Chemical Company. Greg has degrees in chemical engineering from Northeastern University and an MBA from Western New England College. During his 37-year career, he has managed multi-million dollar projects with varying degrees of complexity in Massachusetts, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, Canada, Brazil, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Belgium and Mexico. His responsibilities extend well beyond overseeing just the design and construction of the buildings or the design and fabrication of process equipment. Greg is a champion of the project management implementation process for Solutia, a subsidiary of Eastman. He is constantly seeking opportunities to bring best value throughout all phases in projects and seeks the best execution strategy for specific projects. Greg is an active member of Construction Industry Institute’s Implementation Strategy Committee. Greg was named the CII Outstanding Implementer in 2009. He was recently awarded the CII Distinguished Service Award. Greg is the Chair of the St. Louis Council of Construction Consumers and its Executive Committee. In 2016 the SLCCC was awarded “The Curriculum Partner Award”. Greg resides in the St. Louis area with his wife of 37 years.
