James has enjoyed 20 years as a technical adviser, independent consultant, occasional writer, speaker and contributor to the resilience community. He is currently the Executive Chairman of MONDIALE Advisory Services (a MONDIALE Group company) and is the recent Chairman of the Business Continuity Institute (BCI), 2010-2012. He has recently completed three years on the BCI’s Risk and Governance committee (2012-2015), with a specific interest in, and focus on, developments in the GCC and Asia. Honorary Fellow of the Business Continuity Institute, Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, a Specialist of the Institute of Risk Management and a Member of the British Standards Institute. A proven strategic thinker, no stranger to global crisis and continuity programme management and training and education across the resilience agenda. Comfortable advising and influencing individuals and organisations at all levels of responsibility about risk, resilience, emergency and crisis management, business and IT service continuity. International experience of delivering large-scale programmes to audiences and clients all over the world. Contracted to BP Global Business Services, providing advisory and technical support to their C&CM programme. An adviser to Bapco (nogaholding, Bahrain), VF Asia (USA and Hong Kong), and others in the United Arab Emirates and elsewhere. A Lead auditor for ISO 22301:2012; a contributor to AE/HSC 7000 (2011) – the precursor to AE/SCNS/NCEMA 7001:2015); and an approved training instructor and license holder for the BCI. Selected to develop the BCI’s first training course in Organisational Resilience which was completed in Dec 2015 for delivery in 2016.
