Jose is Managing Principal at the Verizon Innovation Team, a team focused on market and product innovation. He has worked on the development of telecommunication technologies for multiple industries, including, healthcare, video, and BI, among others. He leads the development of US and global go-to-market strategies for Verizon’s new solutions and he also has the responsibility of creating strategic alliances, and finding new ventures and investments for the company. Before joining Verizon, Jose was a management consultant, helping Fortune 100 companies to develop and commercialize breakthrough business innovations. He also was part of a technology startup coordinating multimillion dollar bidding offers and administering exclusive rights for all Latin America. One of his proudest achievements is to be the Co-founder of the Hult Prize, a student competition that has the goal of solving global problems through business. Today the Hult Prize is one of the most prestigious case competitions in the world, recognized by world leaders such as Muhammad Yunus and Bill Clinton. Jose is originally from Colombia and has degrees in Mechanical Engineering and a Master on Engineering. He completed his MBA and a Master’s in Finance in Boston.
