Junaid has more than 20 years of diversified project management experience. He is a Mechanical Engineer with a MBA in Project Management and works in the Performance Product Division at Huntsman. His current responsibilities are program management of the program to improve the manufacturing efficiency covering manufacturing excellence, maintenance and reliability excellence along with Capex. Previously, he was responsible for portfolio management, development of business development projects, execution of large capital projects, and establishing procedure and systems for CAPEX work. Junaid also has experience with executing non- CAPEX projects e.g. supply chain etc. He has worked on several projects of different scales and complexity. This includes from the idea stage through operation in different roles such as Field Project Engineer, Handover Coordinator, Project Manager and Project Director. He has worked on both the “owners” side as well as “contractors” side executing EPCm, EPC and EP&C types of contracts. Previously, he worked for Foster Wheeler, Amec and Jacobs. He also has the experience of executing financed and joint venture projects. He has multinational and multicultural experience having worked in different parts of the world including US, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and Pakistan. Most notably, he received “beat team award” and the prestigious organizational safety performance award. Junaid’s most recent role was Project Director for EO plant at Port Arthur. Previously he was Project Manager for Huntsman Ethyleneamines plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Junaid’s favorite sports are golf and cricket. He is married and has two children.
