Lamia Al Faleh is an Assistant Director of Rehabilitation Programs and Services at Sultan bin Abdulaziz Humanitarian City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia which is one of the largest rehabilitation centers in the middle east.
Lamia has 14 years of experience in Rehabilitation including her role as a physical therapist, clinical services development and leading interdisciplinary team in several programs. Her clinical experiences include arrays of areas in neurorehabilitation with interest in Spinal cord injuries, stroke and degenerative diseases. Additionally, she has experience in establishing and developing new clinical services and programs which include Seating and positioning service and Lymphedema program.
Lamia is also involved in quality assurance projects and accreditation readiness especially for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) as she is the team leader for the comprehensive integrated inpatient rehabilitation program.
Lamia is an advocate of patient experience, patient centered care through ensuring value and optimal outcomes of the services as well as engagement of patients in their care. One of the main projects she has led was developing an integrated rehabilitation documentation process based on the WHO international calcification of function and disability, which enhanced the practices and communication within the interdisciplinary team and addressing the patient preferences and goals.
Lamia holds a MSc. In Neurorehabilitation, and had participated in many international conferences and local workshops as a speaker. She was the head of the scientific committee for the first international patient experience summit held in Riyadh 2018 in collaboration with Cleveland clinic.
