Laura Walin joined EC HA in May 2008. As for her previous experience in the European Chemicals Agency, Laura has, for example, engaged in activities within Helpdesk and worked to set up the practical solutions for the 2010 registrants for the Directors’ Contact Group. Since 2011, she has worked in the CSA Development Program, setting up the Agency’s DU support strategy. She was part of EC HA’s core team for the CSR/ES Roadmap drafting and its implementation. Laura is currently responsible for coordinating EC HA’s activities in preparation for the 2018 registration deadline. The European Chemicals Agency is the driving force among regulatory authorities in implementing the EU’s groundbreaking chemicals legislation. EC HA helps companies to comply with the legislation, advances the safe use of chemicals and provides information on chemicals. The agency aspires to become the world’s leading regulatory authority on the safety of chemicals. Laura obtained a PhD degree in Evolutionary Ecology and an LL D degree in medical law.
