Mustufa H. Abidi is currently a researcher at the FARCAMT Chair, Advanced Manufacturing Institute at King Saud University. He pursued his master degree in Industrial engineering from King Saud University. He has graduated from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. He has received a gold medal from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia. The application of virtual reality techniques for sustainable product development is the major focus of his research. He is the part of the team which develops the first virtual reality (VR) laboratory in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s University. Mr. Abidi also completed a funded project successfully that trains the operators for manual assembly operation using VR. He has experience in achieving a strategical objective for the usage of VR in King Saud University to augment training process, design process, and academic courses with VR tools. He has published many papers in reputed scientific journals, and presented his research work at several international conferences. His other research interests include, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), reverse engineering, micro-manufacturing, and additive manufacturing. He obtained Black Belt for Lean Six Sigma and he is also Certified Supply Chain Manager.
