My Passion in a nutshell is leadership development, coaching, mentoring and supporting others to develop their career. I moved to Qatar 8 years ago from the UK, and here is where I began my passion for supporting nationalization. I originally graduated in Forensic Science from London South Bank University-and I soon realized it was not a ‚people‘ professional, and moved into Learning and Development and Human resource management. I started my career within the Forensic Science Service in London supporting and developing graduates. I moved to the NHS where I held the position of HR Manager for the Toxicology Unit. it was a role that combined my two passions-science and people. I have held numerous positions in Qatar across a number of industries, with my most recent position being Regional HR Manager leading and implementing the Talent Management Strategy, with a particular focus on supporting nationalization in Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Oman. I led Qatar’s‘ first HR qualification pilot program for nationals supporting the process with a mentoring program for Qatari HR professionals in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. I am a Chartered member of the CIPD, Fellow of the CMI and was recognized in 2012 by the Arabian Society of Human Resource Management for my efforts in supporting HR at a country level. I am also a committee member of the Career Development forum since its inception 3 years ago. I remain active in the professional arena supporting others-expats and nationals-through mentoring and knowledge sharing initiatives. Originally born in Shrewsbury, where I grew up, I then moved to London for university and stayed there to start my career.
