He has studied economics at Bogazici University, Istanbul and had an MBA degree from University of Massachusetts. He has worked at World Bank financed health projects in Ankara between 1992 -96. He has been working as a healthcare executive since and has served at the boards of various NGOs while teaching strategic hospital management classes at major universities. Engiz has joined many national and international conferences on healthcare finance, health economics, strategic hospital management and wrote published articles on similar subjects. Aside from his executive position at ARTE Healthcare Group, Engiz currently chairs Health Volunteers-Turkey and serves at the Healthcare Chamber of Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB). He is a member of ACHE and AAMA and publishes a periodical named hospitalmanager. Oğuz Engiz has recently been working on ‘the future of health tourism” and came up with a methodoly for the management of health tourism with a focus on Turkish experience.
