Paul Gulston, MCIPS, MSc – Supply Chain Specialist and Lecturer. Paul is currently the supply chain specialist for logistics management at the Power Generation Company of Trinidad and Tobago (PowerGen). Paul has had over 18 years of experience in supply chain management, gaining vast knowledge in warehousing, strategic procurement, inventory management and freight logistics. He has also worked in several market sectors including healthcare, aviation, construction and power generation.Paul is the present Vice Chair and Treasurer of the Chartered Institute of Procurement – Trinidad Branch. He holds an MSc in Procurement from the University of South Wales (UK) and has been MCIPS qualified for the past 11 years.Paul lectures in the area of supply chain management, having contributed to the profession’s development for the past 10 years. His focus of tuition is the CIPS programme. He has also designed and conducted many training courses in logistics management, inventory management and procurement ethics.This is Paul’s second visit to the UAE, having attended the CIPS Middle-East conference 2015 in Abu Dhabi.Whether he is in the classroom or at the office, Paul advocates that the supply chain professional of today and the future must be trained for the most, to be the problem solver and relationship builder while upholding procurement ethics and governance standards.
