Ralph Spitzer joined the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) in 2010 and is currently heading the Stress Test and Strategy Unit within the Supervisory Policy and Strategy Division. He has been focussing on the execution and further development of both, bottom-up and top-down stress tests at the national and European level and has also contributed to various financial sector topics. Between 2014 and mid-2016 Ralph was seconded to the European Central Bank and participated in the 2014 Asset Quality Review and Stress Test. Before joining the OeNB he has worked at a commercial bank in risk controlling where he covered credit, interest rate and operational risk and also participated in group-wide Basel II implementation projects. Ralph has been lecturing at the IMF/OeNB Joint Vienna Institute on stress testing and financial stability topics. He graduated from the University of Vienna and holds the CFA Charter.
