Richard (“Rich”) Weiss is the Chief IP Counsel for NCR Corporation.  Rich’s practice areas involve all aspects of IP, including IP transactions (including IP M&A, IP Licensing, IP Joint Development/Collaboration, and IP Indemnification); IP defense, assertion, and litigation; IP preparation and prosecution; trademarks; copyrights; trade secrets; and IP Strategy.  Rich received his law degree from the Columbia University School of Law, where he graduated as a Harlan Fisk Stone Scholar and was the recipient of the Carroll G. Harper Prize for IP.  Rich received a BSEE from Duke University, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Distinction.  Over his nearly 25 years of practice, Rich has practice both in house (i.e., White & Case) and with multiple technology companies (i.e., Nortel Networks and Philips Electronics, along with NCR).
