Ralf Steinberg works since 2008 with E.ON SE, a major multi-national utility company in Essen, Germany. Currently he holds the responsibilities as VP HSE Management System & Governance. He studied safety engineering and environmental protection at the University of Wuppertal, Germany, where he received a master’s degree, and continued his academic career with obtaining a doctoral degree. He held various positions as Head of HSE in the automotive and chemical sector. In addition he worked many years as an HSE advisor to industries, governmental and academic institutions in India and Vietnam. With more than 20 years of professional experience he is an expert in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene and risk management. He also has a profound knowledge in HSE management systems, and in the development and implementation of behavioral safety and leadership programs. He serves as a coach and advisor to the management and internal bodies and – essentially – as an enabler to the operational business, which requires a hands-on mentality.
