Harry van der Zwan

Studied General Management & Business at IMD, Lausanne and Insead, Fountainebleau after studying Finance at NIVRA and Business Administration at International University for Applied Sciences Brabant and University Nyenrode.
He started his career at the Ministry of Finance, did hold an own company in the Tourism Industry after which he followed his career in the insurance industry at Zurich Financial Services NE Region, AEGON and Delta LLoyd.
He is seen as an industry expert on General Insurance, Employee Benefits and Value Chain/ Distribution Innovation. Lately he is specialising in Smart Technology and Digital Solutions in the Insurance Industry chairing the Innovation initiatives at Nationale Nederlanden part of NN group..
Secondly Mr van der Zwan holds the position of Chief Broker Distribution, responsible for the total Broker Distribution Portfolio from Banking, Health, Disability, Pensions and Non-Life Business which holds a major share of NN Netherlands portfolio. After the takeover from Delta Lloyd by NN he was appointed as member of the Senior Management Team of NN Netherlands. Mr van der Zwan is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Insurope Company Brussels, Singapore and New York and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Insurope Network. He holds positions in the Dutch Association of Insurers as board member Distribution and at large Distribution Players and Digital Solution Providers in supervisory positions.
Formely mr van der Zwan was CEO Non-Life, Health and disability Business at Delta Lloyd , CEO Commercial Division and Chief Commercial Officer at Delta Lloyd, Executive Vice President at AEGON Intermediary and CEO SBU Consumer & Small Business at Zurich Netherlands and Chief Distribution Consumer at Zurich Financial Service North & East Europe.
Mr van der Zwan is well known in bridging East-West cultures through his international experience in as well business and private.
