Tol started his Industrial career in Pharmaceutical Products Research & Development in 1977 with Merck Sharp & Dohme Ltd, in 1981 joined Glaxo Group Research Ltd, as Research leader, where specialisation began in Inhalation products. In 1986 joined 3M Health Care Ltd, as manager of inhalation products and played a leading role in the transition from CFC propellants to HFA propellants for MDIs. In 2002 joined Bespak Europe as head of R&D. 2009 to-date became independant consultant via own company TSP Pharma Consulting Ltd, specialising in Science, Technology and development of Inhalation Pharmaceutical Products.
