Course description
The use of fossil fuels will continue to be key for ensuring energy supply stability in the incoming decades. On the other hand, pressing climate change is dictating the necessity for reduction of the CO2 emitted to the atmosphere. Furthermore, CO2 penalties and trading are putting additional economic pressure on the energy-intensive operations. To contain or reduce CO2 concentrations, Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage (CCUS) technologies have grown from a concept to crucial technology-driven option.
