Hazards in the Energy Transition

Energy transition, decarbonization and renewables are the key new processes that society will have to solve and implement in the next decade. The transition speed is extremely high and it is hard to stay on track with all new initiatives and processes. Among these: hydrogen economy, energy storage in batteries and ammonia, carbon capture, electrolysers and windmills biomass & recycling e.g. with pyrolysis. The new technologies and their scale require a good review of the new and emerging hazards. This course will give you a good overview of the new processes and technologies, the related hazards, the ways to take care of the hazards and the legal requirements.
