Process Safety Design for CCS

The course explores the hazards and safeguards of CO2 capture, transport and storage facilities, and provides a good understanding of the properties of CO2 and involved process chemicals as a basis for successful design and operation of CCS related facilities. Safety incidents with CO2 and process chemicals are presented, explaining the practical consequences of suboptimal safety management. The main chemical products which can be made from CO2 are discussed as well. Chapters on state-of-the-art Process Safety Management as well as regulations, codes & standards round out the course.
