Aslak has been working with EHS, Quality and Continuous Improvement in food & feed-, iron & steel-, oil & gas-, and marine & offshore business as well as the public sector for more than 18 years, both as manager as well as consultant and auditor.
Since 2022 he has served as Head of safety for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at ofi (Olam Food Ingredients), a global leader within cocoa, coffee, dairy, spices and nuts ingredients. In this position Aslak is responsible for developing the regional safety organization across 22 countries and 15 000 employees, from the agricultural field and warehouses to the processing facilities in the regions.
Being a firm believer in that you will never get what you expect, but you will always get what you inspect, Aslak is continuously engaging in visiting locations and leadership teams across the regions to learn, understand and guide on safety transformation along this value chain.
In his session he will be discussing how to further help build safety culture through integrating safety reporting, inspections and CAPA management across value chains in a global organization.
