Demetrio is passionate about blockchain, innovation, change, startups, technologies, paradigms, paradoxes, languages, cultures and diversity. He built his experience starting from the information technology industry, converting to finance/insurance in one of the most dynamic and complex Italian banking and insurance groups. He is the classic “early adopter“ so it’s likely that he’s got already that “new weird thing“ that you saw the other day on a Chinese website. Serial innovator, he’s luckily left with that “sense of precariousness” typical of those who have worked with immature technologies for a long time, so he tends to test everything by himself before promoting a solution or a technology. His hobby is to develop IOT projects with Raspberry and Arduino, unleashing the good old C (even though he recently took a crush for Python) Head of Blockchain Program at Banca Mediolanum, lecturer on “Digital & Social Enterprise”, “Digital Transformation” and “Innovation management” in Venice Ca’Foscari university, of which he is also Business Unit Manager for the Educational Area DEL. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the MIP smartworking observatory and contributes to the implementation of the IDC European Digital Summit as Advisory Board Member. Lecturer for the Ninja Academy’s on the Digital Marketing Professional Diploma. He is on the board of directors of the incubator VareseNE XT and on the board of directors of AssoFintech, the Italian Fintech Association. He
is part of the jury of several Awards, among others the Efma- Accenture Innovation Awards. Keynote speaker and co-author of “CIOs and the Digital Transformation – A new leadership role“ Ed. Springer.
