1. Storm water management plans: review and compilation of SWMP’s for Nyala poultry farm near to Albert Falls, Sakabula Retirement Resort, Howick, and Ballito Hills development, KZN.
2. River bank erosion protection: reinstatement of river gabions after flood damage at Pineside Park, New Germany, KZN.
3. Sakabula Retirement Resort development: civil engineer on project team, responsible for design of water supply, sewer and storm water infrastructure.
4. Gabion and Loffelstein retaining wall: reinstatement of collapsed embankment at Sandown Village, Pinetown, KZN.
5. Structural and waterproofing: reports, design and construction monitoring on multiple projects involving structural failures and damp problems in buildings.
Project management consultant (2021)
Commencing in January 2021, Andrew provided project management consulting services and support to various clients. Assignments during this period:
1. Project management: Project manager on a feasibility study for a renewable energy park using biomass and solar power.
2. Contract disputes: Forensic analysis and expert witness for eThekwini on the adjudication and arbitration for delay claims on the Essex Terrace interchange and the Go!Durban rapid bus transit projects.
