Frank Ahedo

Frank has been Chief Executive Officer of Further since 2017, after more than 30 years in leadership positions in the health insurance industry. This includes Healthcare International, a specialised wholesale broker, as well as various roles at Best Doctors’ international division, including Managing Director of Best Doctors International and Best Doctors Underwriting. In 2017, Frank led a management buyout, creating Further, and early 2021 saw the merger of Further and Trustedoctor to form the Further Group. The Group specialise in products and services for complex areas of health, in particular cancer, with business in over 30 countries.
Frank’s expertise in developing turnkey insurance products with a focus on serious illness led to the development of Critical Advantage, the first international healthcare solution for the treatment of serious medical conditions, removing financial and geographical barriers to accessing the world’s best care. Specifically related to cancer, at the end of 2022, Further launched the market’s first-of-a-kind precision oncology solution, Precision CancerCare, which uses advanced genetic profiling to better diagnose cancer and recommend a treatment plan that is personalised to each individual tumour, based on the patient’s genomic make-up.
Under his leadership, Further has strengthened and built strong partnerships with leading insurance companies, international banks, multinational brokers and major corporations worldwide.
