Ian is a Business Development Manager with DuneFront and has more than 40 years’ experience in the design and evaluation of sand control treatments. Prior to joining DuneFront, he worked for both Schlumberger and Halliburton in a number of sand control business development and technical support positions, as well as an independent consultant. He has worked in Europe, Asia, Australasia, Africa Middle East, Russia and Caspian, Caribbean, North and South America. His work has covered all aspects of sand management, from field operations to product development. He is also an active member of SPE, having served on the technical committee of a number of SPE Forums and ATW’s. He has made several presentations at SPE conferences and regional meetings. He has taught both pre and post graduate sand management classes at IFP (Paris), Montanuniverisitat (Leoben), and Curtin University (Perth). He has published a number of papers in SPE on topics covering well completions and well stimulation, and holds several patents related to innovations in sand control. He received a BA from the University of Middlesex.
