Jolanta Maņihina

Head of Safety BU Western Europe
Stora Enso, Latvia
Jolanta Maņihina is a highly experienced occupational health and safety specialist with over 12 years of international expertise across the Baltic region, Central and Northern Europe. Her expertise covers occupational safety, chemical safety, machinery safety, and safety culture development. Currently, Jolanta leads the organization and coordination of occupational health and safety processes for the Western Europe unit of Stora Enso’s Packaging Division.
With a deep belief in the importance of both risk management and a strong safety culture, I believe that effective safety practices go beyond simply identifying and mitigating risks. Equally important is fostering a culture of care and trust, where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to prioritize safety, openly communicate concerns, and collaborate in creating a safer work environment for everyone. Additionally, we can’t underestimate the role of digital technologies—such as digitization, computer vision, and artificial intelligence—in advancing safety culture. These technologies enable real-time monitoring, predictive analysis, and automated risk identification, ultimately reducing human error and improving response times.
At the conference, Jolanta will share her insights on how AI and computer vision can transform safety culture, enhancing both employee well-being and operational safety performance.
