Joris Vanvinckenroye, born in 1976, worked as an intensive care nurse and in healthcare business development before founding Royal Doctors. Drawing on his personal experience and his background, he has made it his mission to maximise value for both patients and health insurance providers. As a young man, Joris faced the prospect of a leg amputation.However, his parents fought for a second opinion, an alternative course of treatment was decided on, and Joris retained his ability to run and play sports.
