Luca graduated in Energy and Nuclear Engineering at the Polytechnic of Turin and subsequently a Master in Advanced Study in Industrial Engineering and Operations at SUPSI Lugano. He has over vast experience on Risk analysis and Process Safety for Industrial Plants (Seveso Directive, QRA/FERA Study). He has gained knowledge on Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, & Chemical plants, with particular reference to onshore and offshore upstream installations (from FEED to EPC design phase).
He has extensive experience on PHA (HAZOP/HAZID) Analysis with the role of Team Leader/Facilitator with National and International Clients for Chemical and Oil & Gas Plants. He successfully led around 70 HAZOP/HAZID studies, most of them including Functional Safety Studies. Studies were performed for complex projects of a wide range of industries, including H2 Plant, Oil & Gas, Refinery, NLG Installation, Floating NLG Facility, Polymerization, Power production and Storage, Chemical, and
Petrochemical. Since 2019 he has been Head of the Process Safety and PHA Sector: management and coordination of all the RAMS&E activities on those engineering and consulting services (available on the website https://www.ramse.it).
With Extensive Expertise in: Process Safety (Quantitative Risk Assessment: QRA, FERA, EERA, FHA). Dropped Object, Consequence Analysis, Bowtie, SIMOPS), PHA (HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, WHAT-IF studies), and Functional Safety (SIL Allocation, Safety Requirement Specification, SIL Verification) studies.
