Paolo Guglielmi is a Full Professor at the Polytechnic University of Turin, Department of Energy. His fields of interest include power electronics, high-performance drives, and computer-aided design of electric machines. Paolo has been active in the field of electric traction systems, working on battery systems since the early 2000s. He is a member of the Power Electronic Innovation Center (PEIC) and is responsible for several EU-funded projects studying vehicle charging systems (ecoFev, Fabric, Assured, and INCIT-EV). He is the project leader of the ELECTRO Flagship Project in Spoke 1 Aerospace and Sustainable Mobility for the NODES PNRR program. According to Scopus estimates, he is among the top 2% of scientists with the highest citation impact worldwide.
In the past he was spin-off co-founding partner of energy start up companies in the area of novel charging solutions for electric logistic vehicles and novel power converter topology for energy conversion towards electric grids.
Paolo is the owner of 9 patents and is responsible for 3 Proof of Concepts for patents development. He is also an author of 1 book, 3 book chapters, 41 journal papers and 90 conference papers.
