Rae Knight is a licensed veterinarian with over 40 years of experience in both clinical practice and the pharmaceutical industry. She has owned and managed veterinary clinics serving companion and food animals and built a distinguished 20-year career in pharmacovigilance with leading companies including Novartis, Eli Lilly, and Elanco.
Her industry roles have spanned call center veterinarian, Canadian PV manager, EU Qualified Person for Pharmacovigilance (EU QPPV), and Global PV consultant. As Regulatory Advisor for Pharmacovigilance, Rae played a pivotal role in operationalizing EU Regulation 2019/6, crafting processes that ensured compliance and functionality across the organization. She has successfully defended products before regulatory authorities by leveraging rigorous data analysis and strategic communication, balancing business priorities with regulatory integrity.
Rae is also Lean Six Sigma Black Belt–certified, bringing expertise in process efficiency and project management to every endeavor. She is the founder of Pippins Veterinary Pharmacovigilance Consulting (www.pippinsvpc.com), where she continues to champion animal health through smart, ethical pharmacovigilance solutions.
Outside of work, Rae finds joy in her vibrant family life with four children, four grandchildren, and two spirited terriers. She’s an avid gardener and a seasoned traveler, often trading Canadian winters for warmer adventures abroad. At her core, Rae is driven by a lifelong passion for improving the health and welfare of animals — a mission that guides everything she does.
