Rainer Machner, Key Account Consultant for Room Acoustics, studied hearing technology and audiology in Oldenburg. He has been working at Saint-Gobain Ecophon in Lübeck since 2006. He is head of concept development and has been involved in the acoustic design of office and working environments for over 15 years. For Ecophon Germany, he is an ambassador for sustainability and a member of the Saint-Gobain Habitat Team. He is a member of the NALS (Standardisation Committee for Acoustics, Noise Abatement and Vibration Control) and of the DIN working committee on room acoustics, including DIN 18041 “Hearing in rooms”. In 2020, he founded the consulting division SoundProof Consulting within the Ecophon Group with an interdisciplinary team. Here, room acoustics and organisational planning meet uniquely and offer workshops in the NewWork context, among other things.
